This gelding came into his series with a history of an unknown injury to his right hind leg. Over time, protecting that leg contributed to compensation patterns throughout his body. When one area isn’t moving through its full range of motion, other areas often have to work harder, which can contribute to fascial restrictions, imbalance, and discomfort.

Throughout his series, we focused on releasing and rebalancing these restrictions to help his body find a more functional and balanced way of moving. His before-and-after photos show some of my favorite changes, including improved symmetry through the hindquarters, a smoother connection through the neck, shoulders, and withers, and a more balanced overall posture and topline.

Structural Integration isn’t about changing a horse overnight. It’s about working with the fascia and the body as a whole to address long-standing restrictions and compensation patterns, giving the horse a greater opportunity to move comfortably, efficiently, and with improved balance.
